Alice Gold

realtalk@MIT Instructional Designer and Program Manager

Alice Gold works where people, systems, and possibility meet. As an instructional designer and program manager for realtalk@MIT, she helps imagine and prototype new ways for communities to communicate with more curiosity, care, and agency. Her work sits at the intersection of storytelling, coaching, and tinkering with how technology and humanity can coexist in the same room—without one overpowering the other.

Before coming to MIT, Alice spent 10 years as a public school teacher, an experience that grounds everything she builds. With more than 15 years across public education, project-based learning, and global partnerships, she has collaborated with MIT faculty and educators around the world to design professional development ecosystems and hands-on coaching models that elevate teacher confidence and student voice. She’s most energized by creating experiences where people slow down, listen differently, and discover something new about themselves—or each other.

Alice holds a BA in History and an MAT in Secondary Education from Simmons University, and an MPA/Policy degree from American University.

Outside of work, she brings the same sense of inquiry to movement. She’s a fitness instructor, runner, and former amateur boxer, exploring how embodiment shapes how we communicate, show up, and make meaning together. At the Center, she’s excited to help build practices—and prototypes—that make constructive connection feel not just possible, but inevitable.
