Event Overview

Positioned at the intersection of technology, media, and democracy, the Center for Constructive Communication is working to create solutions that address the growing social and political fragmentation across our country. Our goal is to convene and nurture a network of individuals and organizations that share our commitment to build trust across divides, and provide real-world solutions that are critically needed to strengthen our increasingly fragile democracy.

Over the course of the day, you will

  • hear from experts on applied AI, social media analysis, and design of trusted social networks
  • get new perspectives from experts in journalism, law, psychology, and political science on societal impacts
  • participate in and listen to samplings of real-world facilitated conversations
  • serve and explore a research open house to engage in interactive demos with students

Featured participants joining CCC researchers include:

  • Raney Aronson-Rath, Executive Producer and Editor-in-Chief, FRONTLINE
  • Kathy Cramer, Professor, University of Wisconsin-Madison
  • Jonathan Haidt, Professor, New York University Stern School of Business
  • Frank McCourt, Founder, Project Liberty
