Rukun Zhang
PhD candidate
Rukun is a visiting PhD student at the Center for Constructive Communication.
She is interested in science communication, intercultural communication, and
open science. She is currently doing research in constructive news and open
communication science, which aim to build constructive dialogues and trust
between researchers and the public. Specifically, she is interested in exploring how
positive psychology can be applied to journalism and how to improve the
transparency, replicability, and reproducibility of communication studies. Before
MIT, she got her bachelor’s degree in communication studies at Beijing Normal
University and pursued her Ph.D. there.
