Summer UROP Opportunity: Real Talk in Your Community

The MIT Center for Constructive Communication (MIT CCC), in partnership with the Office of Experiential Learning at MIT, is launching the Real Talk in Your Community Summer Program. This program is designed for undergraduate students to foster constructive conversations within and across underheard communities using tools and methods designed by MIT CCC.


New Course: MIT MAS.S68 Generative AI for Constructive Communication

Starts Wednesday 2/8

Instructors: Jad Kabbara, Suyash Fulay, Shayne Longpre, Hang Jiang, Hope Schroeder, Doug Beeferman, Prof. Deb Roy

A new MIT MAS course from CCC designed around topics surfaced by the rise of large language models like ChatGPT and the impact of these models on the future of communication technology. We will bring together a group of practitioners and experts for guided discussions, hands-on experimentation, and project critiques. If you want to join the class, please fill out this interest form and come to the first class on Wednesday, 2/8. Bring a laptop and be prepared to start experimenting!

2023-24 RealTalk Community Fellows Program

The MIT Center for Constructive Communication (MIT CCC) has launched the RealTalk Community Fellows Program, a one-year, non-degree program that brings together community leaders — staff, board members or resident volunteers of community-based organizations to collaborate with students, researchers, and faculty at MIT CCC. The program recognizes that Boston residents with extensive experience in addressing community issues have unique knowledge and insights key to understanding those issues and designing innovative solutions.
